Bitcoin ETF outflows: $6.35B in 30 days - what it means for miners

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs posted a record ~$6.35B net outflow over 30 days plus a 13-day streak (~$4.4B). BTC holds near $64,000. POOL BTC explains: not a literal sell-everything event, but spot and hashprice pressure. Data: Farside, Galaxy Research.

TL;DR: ETF redemption is not an automatic exchange dump, but it weakens institutional bid. Meanwhile LTH absorbed ~125K BTC in June. Tie-in: Fed decision and the POOL BTC calculator.

What happened to ETF flows?

Since May 2026 hedge funds and brokers cut ETF exposure. AUM fell from ~$104B. June 5 saw a $3M micro-inflow ending the streak, but the trend stayed bearish. June 17 post-FOMC added another −$82M session.

Why miners should care

BTC price drives hashprice. ETF outflows do not switch off ASICs directly, but keep BTC in the $60-70K band where S19 XP margins are thin. Pool mining and ETF exposure are different tools: FPPS pays BTC for hashrate regardless of BlackRock fund flows.

Contrast: long-term holders accumulate

On-chain: LTH absorbed ~125K BTC in June with Fear & Greed near 22. ETFs shed paper exposure while whales stack coins - rotation, not «Bitcoin is dead».
