Answers to questions

Частые вопросы о рейтинге майнеров и доходности

How is profitability calculated in the table?

BTC/day - from the device's share of network hashrate. USD «gross» - BTC income × price. USD «net» - minus electricity cost at the given rate.

What is W/TH and why look at efficiency?

W/TH is watts per 1 TH/s. The lower, the less you pay for power at the same hashrate. At high electricity rates, more efficient models pay off.

Where do miner data come from?

Hashrate, power and efficiency - from manufacturers' official specs (Bitmain, MicroBT, Canaan, etc.). BTC price and network hashrate are loaded from API.

What metric matters most in the ranking?

In practice, net USD/day after electricity is the key output. But evaluate it together with W/TH efficiency and device purchase price.

Why can a lower-hashrate miner rank higher?

The table is sorted by net profitability. A more efficient model with lower TH/s can still deliver better net results at the same electricity rate.

Should I choose only by TH/s?

No. High hashrate without strong efficiency does not guarantee profit, especially at medium or high electricity tariffs.

What if electricity is expensive in my region?

Focus on low W/TH models, run stress scenarios for BTC price, and compare home setup economics versus hosting options.

How do I validate payback before buying?

Model at least three scenarios (base, optimistic, downside) and include difficulty growth, downtime, maintenance, and real operating costs.

Does the ranking include future network difficulty growth?

The ranking is a current snapshot. For purchase decisions, add your own forward scenario for difficulty growth over the ROI horizon.

Why can net profit become negative?

It means that under current BTC price, network difficulty, and your power tariff, revenue does not cover electricity and operating expenses.

How often should I recalculate rankings?

Recalculate regularly, especially after major BTC price moves, network difficulty jumps, or changes in your electricity tariff.

Are used ASIC miners worth buying?

They can be, if discount is meaningful and condition is verified. Check hashrate stability, error levels, and cooling condition before purchase.

For home mining, what matters more: noise or efficiency?

Both are critical. Even a profitable ASIC can be impractical at home without proper noise control and ventilation.

Which parameters should I compare first?

At minimum: TH/s, W/TH, power draw in watts, net USD/day, device price, and local service/spare parts availability.

Can I use the ranking as a direct buy signal?

Use it as a starting point, not a final decision. Always verify live pricing, delivery terms, warranty, and your own operating assumptions.
